Poplar Windbreak Over Cabbage Field at Dawn

Low morning light breaks through a layer of low-hanging clouds, illuminating the horizon haze above a vast harvested grain field in Barbacena. A dense row of tall poplar trees stands as a rigid windbreak, their green leaves catching the pale sun. Behind this living wall, a lush cabbage field displays tightly packed, pale green heads arranged in orderly rows. The ground remains damp from the wet season, with stubble from the previous harvest scattered across the brown earth. The air appears heavy with moisture, visible in the soft diffusion of the dawn sky. Shadows stretch long and cool across the soil, showing the stillness of the early morning. at the edge is the crisp, white edge of a cabbage leaf against the dark, damp soil.
